Sleeping
We take your pets into our home to care for them. Each pet has their own “room” for sleeping at night and for eating meals in. We provide TV & radio (smooth jazz), rubber floor mats, bowls, and fluffy bedding. We have rooms that are 6 feet by 6 feet, 4 feet by 5 feet and 2 ½ feet by 3 feet. We do provide bedding. However please feel free to bring a blanket or towel from home to put over the bed.
Eating
We stick to your pup’s eating schedule per your directions. We request that you bring your regular food and label it with your pup’s name. All dogs are fed in their rooms to avoid food stealing and other unpleasant interactions.
Walks and Play Time
All dogs are let out in our potty area to do their business a minimum of 4 times per day. Outings are on a schedule at breakfast (6 – 7 am), lunch (noon), dinner (5:30 – 6:30 pm) and bedtime (10 pm). Weather permitting; the pups are out more often. After doing their business, they are free to run in our ¾ acre fenced yard. We have a 6 foot privacy fence with a double locked gate for security. All dog interactions are supervised by an experience dog trainer and / or other experienced personnel.
Medical
On going medical care is provided at an additional cost. Please call us to discuss in more detail. All pets must be current with their vaccinations. We also require Boardatella (Kennel Cough) every six months. We require a copy of the current shot records for our files prior to boarding with us. In addition, all dogs must have a stool sample tested within less than 6 months of boarding that shows a negative result for intestinal worms and giardia (protozoa). We require a note from your vet indicating that the sample was tested for these parasites and protozoa and that the results are negative. If we do not have these records on file, we can not take your pets. All dogs must be using flea prevention, such as Frontline, before boarding with us. If you do not use a flea preventative and we have to apply it, there is a $20 application fee. Heaven forbid, if your pup should get hurt while with us, we will take him to the nearest emergency hospital. We will contact you on the way. Please make sure to provide us with emergency contact information before you leave on your trip. Our Facts Sheet has a section that gives Critter Central permission to treat your pet in the event of an emergency.
Drop Off & Pick Up Times
Please call to schedule pick up and drop off times. In addition, within a certain radius, we offer pick up and drop off services for an additional fee. Please call us to schedule a pick up or drop off time and to reserve your boarding dates. We limit ourselves to only a small amount of pets each day so that we can give the attention to each that they deserve.
Prices
Please call us for our current pricing list. We do offer a multi dog discount. We also board cats.

Boarding Checklist
- Make sure that your pup has a collar on with tags.
- Please take the poop bag carrier off the leash.
- No bandanas or other “decorations” on pups while boarding.
- No need to bring dishes. We have plenty.
- Apply Frontline.
- Make sure that vaccination records and stool sample results have been forwarded to Critter Central prior to boarding.
- Feel free to bring either a towel or blanket that your pup has used the week prior to put in his boarding room. This tends to comfort them with smells from home.
- Schedule drop off and pick up times. Remember that other drop offs and pick ups are also scheduled around you, as well as our daily care giving activities. It is important that your scheduled times are adhered to.
